US Tech Force is seeking a skilled Estimator for a growing Machine shop/Fab Shop.
The Machine Shop Estimator will receive RFQs and quickly analyzes all aspects necessary to manufacture the part(s) to customer specs and requirements. The company is a custom machine shop, so there are always various different parts/components that come through the doors to be quoted. The individual in the machining estimator position will be responsible for determining the following components associated with the manufacture of units submitted for quotation, labor cost, material cost, inside and 3rd party processes and cost, production time, machine time, and delivery dates. The individual in this role will be responsible for creating accurate quotes within ERP system. Will assist in the management of the RFQ queue, ensures quotes are submitted in a timely manner, and that the quotes comply with all requirements submitted by the customer or contractor.
Required Estimator Skill Set:
- MUST have machine shop experience
- Demonstrated process knowledge of CNC turning and or milling.
- Full Knowledge and experience with materials such as, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, specialty steel, titanium, plastics, composite materials, copper, graphite, etc.
- Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and solid models
- Strong analytical skills, communication skills, resolution skills, organizational skills. * * Strong manufacturing knowledge and experience.
- Strong computer skill set. (Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), ERP systems, Outlook. etc.)
- Ability to work with all levels of an organization
