We are currently searching for an experienced financial professional to serve as our Controller within a growing company in Green Bay, WI.

Diversified duties include: coordination of timely and accurate month-end close, preparation of financial statements and analysis in accordance with GAAP, balance sheet/income statements, P&L and accruals.  The Controller will provide senior leadership/accounting expertise in the finance group while overseeing performance of junior level roles; also ensures that all aspects of the billing cycle of construction projects are completed in a timely and accurate manner; process and ensure all AIA requisitions are prepared for either bank funding or third party billing; ensure training and compliance of all project teams with respect to project accounting procedures; secure prompt payment from clients – pursue collection of accounts as directed; investigates appropriate bonding and insurance as required by contracts and localities and ensures proof of same to release payments; manages payment process and oversees status for subcontractors and produce monthly report on same for Management; and coordinate audit activities with Independent Auditors.

Other duties include budget, forecasting and strategic planning, as well as revenue, expense and cash management/treasury functions.  Work on related outside contracts, familiar with construction insurance, risk management and maintain banking relationships.  Act as process improvement/efficiency specialist and also responsible for job costing, sales and sales tax, tax returns and payroll taxes.

The ideal candidate will have: at least 5-7 years accounting supervisory experience and management experience with at least 4-5 years construction accounting experience; a Business or Accounting degree – advanced degree or CPA preferred; excellent organizational and management skills; extensive experience and knowledge of corporate construction accounting and financial management; ability to work proactively as a part of a team; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and proficiency in Timberline Software, MS Excel and MS Word required.

We have a GREAT opportunity with an established and growing business and seeking an Accounting Coordinator to join the Accounting Team. The person will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as helping to process necessary reports for financial statements. Individual in this position will also work closely with the Controller on carrying out cost accounting activities; computing and preparing data for journal entries, reviewing and analyzing general ledger and related financial statements for reasonableness; assisting with the preparation of financial statements, ledgers, reports and taxes. Also responsible for preparing and entering all necessary payroll data into appropriate system for processing of bi-weekly payroll by third party payroll service vendor.

The Ideal person will have: 

• Minimum of an associate’s degree in accounting, finance or business related field.
• At least (3) three years experience in a finance or accounting position preferably in a construction or manufacturing-related environment.
• Must have considerable knowledge of basic accounting principles (i.e. journal entries, debits, credits, etc.) and accounting functions. Possess a working understanding of financial statements, cost variances and cost drivers, and inventory methods.
