Inventory and Parts Associate

US Tech Force in Appleton, WI is looking for a motivated and detail orientated person to be a part of a team as an Inventory and  Parts Associate.  This position is 1st shift and offers excellent benefits.

Duties: 

  • Distributes parts to mechanics from parts counter.
  • Receives and Checks parts in from outside vendors. This must be a physical check in addition to signing of paperwork.
  • Scan Bar codes Put parts away.
  • Return non-warranty and core parts daily off the “return shelf”.
  • Inventory the parts room every shift.
  • Rotate stock from old to new.
  • Place orders for parts via catalog, calling vendors and/or computer databases.
  • Perform general housekeeping in the parts room. Keep it organized and clean.

US Tech Force is looking for a SolidWorks Designer – Programmer.  This person has a vital role in the overall success of meeting the customer’s needs accurately and in a timely manner. This individual will be responsible for the programming of production equipment for part specifications to customer prints and for the basic upkeep and corrections to programs.

Duties: 

  • Reviews blueprints and applies dimensional data to computer numeric controlled production equipment.
  • SolidWorks software knowledge required either via school or experience
  • GibbsCAM or Striker software knowledge or interest in learning
  • Helps determine means for more efficient manufacturing possibilities based on cost estimates and budgetary restraints.
  • Responsible for basic upkeep and corrections to programs.
  • Responsible for maintaining product quality standards.
  • Documents time and job processes accurately.
  • Communicates with customers and keeps apprised of current requirements regarding product design.
  • Maintains clean workspace, keeps apprised of safety regulations, and informs Safety Officer should attention to any safety concern become necessary

Qualifications: 

  • Associates degree or equivalent, relevant experience preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience in a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment desirable

CAD experience, attention to detail, excellent communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are the keys to success at this position.

Shift Lead

US Tech Force is looking for a qualified, goal orientated Shift Lead to provide direct shift supervision to hourly crews, including the assignment and direction of work, administration of training, expectation setting and rule enforcement.

Monday – Friday 6:30am-4:30pm

Duties:

  • Ensure all employees are engaged, share responsibility and are held accountable for workplace safety and production goals
  • Ensure employees are trained in the safe operation of equipment and work processes
  • Interact daily with Supervisors and Managers to ensure production schedules are attained and shipments are made in accordance to customer due dates
  • Ensure timely delivery and staging of component parts prior to production ensuring effective materials and product flow
  • Set up jobs for production employees ensuring the correct placement of boards and nails
  • Ensure production employees adhere to preventative maintenance programs
  • Verify production employees are following quality specifications and standards
  • Verify all lumber components are identified by size, customer name, and department
  • Work on special projects as assigned by management

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of manufacturing and/or forklift experience preferred
  • Self-motivated to complete tasks and production schedule
  • Strong computer skills including, familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrate solid decision making and leadership skills
  • Communicate effectively in both written and oral form
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations
  • On most occasions will lift 50 pounds or less and on a rare occasion must be able to lift, push and pull objects that are 75 pounds or heavier
  • Must be able to sit, walk, bend and twist for long periods of time throughout the day
  • Must be able to read a tape measure
  • Must be able to understand and adhere to all the safety requirements of the pallet manufacturing facility
