Set-Up Attendant – Wood

Set Up Attendant – Wood – 2nd Shift (up to $21.00/hour)

We looking for a Set-Up Attendant for a 2nd shift position in an established company in Appleton, WI. 2nd shift hours are Monday – Friday 4:00 pm-12:00 am. The Set-Up Attendant will assist with the Set-Up of Production Machinery

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
2. Monitor machine safety.
3. Set-up production machinery based on production schedule.
4. Coordinate production materials (work-in-process, pallets, raw materials, etc.) with Material Handlers.
5. Monitor product quality.
6. Monitor tooling for maintenance and re-sharpening.
7. Assist with employee training on production machinery.
8. Run production after primary job functions are completed.
9. Perform machine maintenance activities as assigned.
10. Perform various duties as assigned.
11. Report all activities to supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma, GED, HSED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Experience with CNC equipment.
  3. Being comfortable with tooling changesTool touch off
    Tool offset
    Common g-code knowledge
    Ability to troubleshoot code on the router
    Ability to Read and understand absolute and incremental g-code
    90% of our programs are absolute
  4. Experience and ability with wood working equipment.
  5. Understand and utilize basic math skills.
  6. Basic reading and writing.
  7. Read measurement and gauge instruments.
  8. Basic computer knowledge.
  9. Mechanical aptitude
  10. Maintain lift truck certification.
  11. Consistently lift up to 15 lbs., frequently lift up to 30 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.

Industrial Equipment Mechanic (1st or 2nd Shift Available)

We have a GREAT opportunity for an Industrial Equipment Mechanic to work in the Manitowoc, WI Area. This is a Full-Time position on Either a 1st or 2nd shift.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1-3 years maintenance repair in a manufacturing setting.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Install new and existing equipment.
  • Perform fabrication on various metals, pipes required for maintaining production equipment.
  • Recognize and use various lubricants to maintain machinery and equipment.
  • Understand and maintain equipment, equipment controls, power sources, pumps, electronics, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Fabricate change parts for different types of containers produced on filling lines.
  • Test all newly fabricated change parts o filler before production run for functionality.
  • Exercise good safety practices to prevent accidents to self, others and facilities.
  • Maintain a clean work area and complete all tasks in a workmanlike manner.
  • Diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Execute special assignments as required by supervisor.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of company facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery and process related deficiencies using technical/mechanical skills.
  • Track all work progress and material to insure accurate and timely repairs and part replacements.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Perform on-call responsibilities when necessary. Responsible to determine time and material requirements for work orders.
  • Perform other duties as required and requested by supervisor.

Depending on aptitude, mechanical skill, and work habits; the trainee can transition into a full machine operator role as needed.

Responsibilities: Employee responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

  1. Unload machines that have completed production.
  2. Bring production parts to quality or elsewhere as appropriate.
  3. Changeover feed tooling appropriate for wire size and string wire.
  4. Pull up program where applicable and set tooling based off of previous manufacturing notes where possible.
  5. Help monitor machines including where parts are running to allow primary operators time to focus on set-up.
  6. Identify tooling required for parts and put request through to have tooling made where appropriate.
  7. Perform preventive maintenance on machines and ovens as time permits.
  8. Employee may be asked to fill in elsewhere as necessary to meet customer shipment requirements.

2 Positions are Available:

One position would go direct to second shift working 1:50 pm to 12:20 am Monday through Thursday and the other position would train on first shift (5:30 am to 2:00 pm) Monday through Friday for a minimum of a couple months and then transition onto second shift.

Pay is $13.00 – $15.00 depending on experience.

The Fireplace Technician will assist the lead technicians in the service and repair of chimney’s and fireplaces.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to properly carry, set up and climb ladders and scaffolding safely.
  • Must be comfortable with heights and able to safely walk on roofs
  • Must be knowledgeable of and know how to use common hand and power tools
