Immediate opening for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to work for a company in the Fox Valley Area. 1st Shift 7:30 am – 4:00 pm and the position offers opportunity for advancement

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will assist in all material handling duties, loading and unloading product, assist with inventory, preparing products for shipping, data enter, log in product received, and ensuring that adequate supplies are available. Will assist with truck scheduling, working with various carriers, assist with billings, and create packing lists, and local and international shipping.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently, operate a hand truck and forklift, computer and data entry, and be familiar with shipping software, receive product from carriers, and working with computer programs (MS Excel, Word and Outlook).

Estimator and Expediter

ESTIMATOR and EXPEDITER

We are looking to hire an experienced Estimator and Expediter for a Fox Cities company. The Estimator/Expeditor will be responsible for preparing construction project quotes by material take-offs from plans and specifications provided by sales personnel as well as then ordering material related to completing projects. Projects include all types of construction, including post frame. Industries include agricultural, commercial and residential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Establish rapport with sales personnel in order to understand the nature of the project.
• Estimating and projecting costs for construction projects from specs turned in from sales personnel.
• Expedite material, supplies, and equipment to complete projects in a timely manner.
• Obtain price quotes from suppliers and vendors (such as trusses, overhead doors, and insulators).
• Implement change orders on projects as changes occur.
• Resolve in timely manner material shortages or other issues related to projects.
• Evaluates project costing to determine profit margin.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participate in professional associations.
• Contributes to team effort by looking towards ways of improving processes.

Skills/Qualifications:
• Knowledge of construction methods (post frame, stud frame, SIP panels, steel roofing & siding, concrete).
• Understands the sales personnel’s needs before preparing the bids.
• Need to be fluent in reading blue prints.
• Should understand the instructions of sales personnel and draftsman.
• Proper use of logic and reasoning for the projects to be prepared.
• Ability to work independently and learn quickly.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Problem solving.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, & other software.

Education and/or Experience Required:
• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of International Building Codes preferred but not required.

  • 3+ years of Applicable Manufacturing and Electrical Experience Required

  • Mathematical Ability to add, subtract, multiple, divide and measure up to 1/16”. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions. Ability to use a calculator.

Qualifications:

  • Reasonable Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Be able to regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to lift 25 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift 50 lbs., sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
