We are currently looking for CNC Boring Bar Operator for 2nd shift. This position is responsible for the set up and operation of the CNC horizontal boring machine to perform machining operations such as milling, drilling, boring.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, written specifications and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished parts and tooling. Plan and layout setup operations, and determine sequence of operations.
• Operate machines while monitoring for malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.  Adjust machine controls as required.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures. Uses various hand-held and stationary power and non-power tools including but not limited to band saws, belt sanders, hand grinders and files to complete jobs.
• Ability to perform milling operations such as drilling, tapping, boring. Uses controls to set feeds, speeds, depth of cut, and to position tool.
• Capable of using measuring devices and techniques to ensure proper sizing.
• Maintain safe operations of equipment by adhering to set safety procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping practices.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Boring Bar Operator
