Maintenance Technician

Currently we are hiring for Maintenance Technicians in the Appleton and Oshkosh areas. One position is Rotating Schedule and one is 3rd shift with flexibility.

Requirements/ Knowledge:

• Millwright Journeyman card

• Electro-Mechanical background (Oshkosh)
• Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC experience
• Preventative maintenance
• Troubleshooting
• Machine maintenance
• Computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• At least five years experience

Detailer/ Maintenance

Hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 am until 5:00 pm and every other Saturday 7:30 am to noon.

Responsible for basic duties in the Service shop such as detailing and set-up and assures the timely maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Provides support to all three departments, scheduled through the Service Manager.

Essential Functions:

1. Pressure washes, cleans, details and performs light repairs to equipment in the shop. This will be the main focus of this position.
2. Responsible for upkeep, preventative maintenance and minor repairs of assigned facility, tools, equipment, yard, and machinery.
3. Cleans showroom and public restrooms on a daily basis, including checking and stocking of bathroom supplies.
4. Assists truck drivers and customers with pick-up and drop-off, loading and unloading trucks.
5. Operates a forklift in a safe, reliable manner to move crates and other heavy objects.
6. Assures intercompany transfers are ready for the route truck.
7. Assures that deliveries are delivered to the correct department and proper person is notified of delivery.
8. Moves equipment on the lot to assure proper displays, and keeps equipment locked up for loss control.
9. Cleans debris from parking lot, driveway, ditches and other outside areas to assure a professional image.
10. Maintains grounds, above and beyond outsourced services, including weed control, minor snow removal, etc.
11. Dispose of all trash and recyclables.
12. May be asked to do pick-up, deliveries and errands as a back-up person, when seasonal job demands require.
13. Performs set-up work, assembling equipment and getting equipment ready for sale.
14. Performs all job functions in a safe, timely manner.
15. Presents a positive, professional image in dress and conduct at all times.

Qualifications:

1. Valid driver’s license and insurable driving history required.
2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
3. Knowledge of farm equipment preferred.

Machinist

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

 Associates degree or equivalent, relevant experience

1+ years’ experience in a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment desirable

Strong knowledge of vertical machining or school trained. 

Haas machine and G/M code knowledge.

Experience reading blueprints

Ability and experience setting priorities and meeting deadlines.

Ability to work independently, quickly and accurately in an environment with changing/fluctuating priorities.

Must be very detail oriented and thorough with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Action-oriented, customer service-oriented attitude, taking initiative to follow projects and jobs through the production process.  

Engaging personality capable of generating and growing meaningful relationships with coworkers and customers.

The Team Leader is someone who is attentive to detail, trustworthy, and takes pride in their workmanship.  The Leader is also responsible for the safe and effective operation of the plant, and applying Lean Manufacturing practices.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the Maintenance Department and ensure proper servicing of plant equipment
2. Schedule and document preventative maintenance
3. Coordinate maintenance activities to production schedule
4. Process and maintain detailed paperwork
5. Oversee staffing levels, staff development, and hold staff meetings
6. Responsible for compliance to company policies
7. Interpret and relay company goals and purpose by monitoring Lean Performance Indicators
8. Provide coaching, feedback, and direction through meetings and performance reviews
9. Responsible for all proper maintenance, repairs, and other facility needs relevant to the maintenance staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2 years supervisory experience
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing staff
• Ability to learn, understand, and lead complex operations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with computer and office software
• Experience with problem solving in a manufacturing environment
• Previous Union experience is helpful
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
