Fabrication Supervisor – 2nd Shift

Fabrication Supervisor – 2nd Shift ($24.00/hour + individual and company bonuses)

We have an Excellent opportunity for an experienced 2nd Shift Fabrication Supervisor for a growth oriented company in Neenah, WI. The supervisor position will be responsible for supervising the department, 15 fabricators with more expected in near future.
The company is growing and we are seeking someone who can learn and grow with the company and department. Opportunity for a Contract-to-Hire OR a Direct Hire.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

 3+ years’ experience in a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment, most importantly press brakes.
 Knowledge and/or experience with AutoPOL or off-line press brake software a substantial plus
 Ability and experience setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
 Proven track record for team leadership.
 Ability to work independently, quickly and accurately in an environment with changing/fluctuating priorities.
 Must be very detail oriented and thorough with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 Strong history of working with customers, understanding their needs and processes in order to provide solutions in a consultative manner.
 Action-oriented, customer service-oriented attitude, taking initiative.
 Engaging personality capable of generating and growing meaningful relationships with coworkers and customers.

Detailed Job Duties

Use manufacturing knowledge and judgment to ensure quality requirements are met in the most efficient manner possible.
 Knowledge of using calipers, squares, protractors and etc. to do first piece inspections.
 Attract, retain and motivate an exceptional team.
 Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications.
 Be able to operate hoists and fork lift trucks.
 Have mechanical ability to troubleshoot basic to moderate press brake equipment issues.
 Have a thorough understanding of engineering blueprints (including standard tolerances, theoretical intersections, etc.).
 Coordinate the flow of parts through fabrication to minimize time in fabrication and maximize part availability to downstream operations.
 Provide training and supervises new employees (as needed) including set-up, machine operation, best practices, and safety. This also applies to employees that have been on our staff for 1+ years.
 Provide Director of Operations with a daily report on production status including work completed, orders ready to ship, and work in progress.
 Ensure that supplies/tools are not wasted/misused.
 Ensure work centers are cleaned daily (last 10-15 minutes)
 Interface with 1st shift Supervisor to minimize work stoppage during changeover.
 Ensures general maintenance on equipment at appropriate schedules per the maintenance sheets.
 Assist when required, in locating and rushing jobs that are due to customers.

We are looking for a fill time Shipping and Receiving Specialist that will assist in the warehouse with receiving and fulfilment of equipment and parts orders. Readying product and parts for shipment including building wood crates as needed.

First Shift – $14.00 – $15.00 + based on experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
o Parts and Product order fulfilment – all brands (fulfillment, packing, shipping, paperwork completion)
o Inspection of products received for noticeable damage or quality issues
o Stocking inventory shelves with incoming equipment and parts receipts
o Forklift operation
o Load/Unload trailers and containers
o Crate and uncrate machines, both cardboard and wood slat crated
o Inventory verification, and warehouse organization
o Basic parts repair and machine modifications
o Minor building maintenance (changing light bulbs, snow shoveling, empty garbage bins, etc.)
o Other duties as assigned
o Strict confidentiality on all company matters

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A growth oriented company is looking for an experienced Turret Punch Press Programmer for an immediate opening.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Associates degree or equivalent, relevant experience preferred
  • 4+ years’ experience in a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Turret Punch Press or school trained
  • Setup turret punch press on Amada Vipros turrets
  • Striker software knowledge substantial plus, SolidWorks software knowledge required
  • Experience reading blueprints to draw (program) flat pattern layouts of parts
  • Ability and experience setting priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, quickly and accurately in an environment with changing/fluctuating priorities
  • Make machine & tooling selections to manufacture parts in the most cost effective manner;

  • Ensure CAD/programming work is completed in a quality manner.  This includes tracking programming errors (wrong material, wrong revision, incorrect bend allowance, etc.) and reporting each month to management
  • Coordinate quick and efficient resolution of CAD/programming issues and delegate corrective action required.
  • Maintain and ensure CAD/CNC files are up to date and contain only the latest revision levels.  Ensure that any old revision files that must be maintained are kept in an archive file. Use manufacturing knowledge and judgement to advise estimator/management when routings/methods are not accurate.
  • Monitor punch programs to ensure parts are manufactured efficiently
  • Action-oriented, customer service-oriented attitude, taking initiative to follow projects and jobs through the production process
