Maintenance Technician

US Tech Force is hiring an Entry Level Maintenance Technician for a beautiful apartment building in Appleton.

$15/hr. to start and great benefits after probationary period.

Responsibilities, Include, but not limited to.
•Perform preventative maintenance as assigned
•Respond to tenant maintenance requests
•Install new appliances and dispose of old ones
•Repair appliances
•Remove trash, and perform maintenance on apartment turnovers
•General property inspection to determine maintenance needs
•Maintain communication with the property manager during the day

Requirements:
•One year of maintenance experience
•High School Diploma
•Carpentry experience
•Experience with water heaters basic building mechanics
•Experience with appliance repair is helpful
•General maintenance with garbage disposals and such like appliances
•Must be able to be on call once a month
•Excellent communication skills
•Perfect attendance history
•Must be able to lift 70lbs and bend, twist, squat, and kneel as needed to access tight areas

Material Handler

Material Handler (6:00 pm – 6:00 am)

This position pull and stages raw materials for production usage according to work order requirements and then returns excess materials to proper storage locations. Position is for the night shift 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. (12-hour shifts), 2, 2,3 schedule and works every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), will train on days, Monday through Friday for 2-3 weeks and then slide into their 12-hour shift

Candidates with roll clamp experience are highly desired or candidates with some to extensive forklifting experience will be considered.

Duties:

 Read work orders and pick sheets for required materials.
 Examine work orders for accuracy.
 Review production schedule to determine priority of work orders to pull and stage.
 Pull the correct paper rolls and packaging materials for work orders and stage materials at the production lines.
 Lay rolls down to cutting position when production starts work orders.
 Monitor the materials in staging areas to determine the daily pulling priority for each production line.
 Remove waste products from production lines and paper balers.
 Return paper rolls and packaging materials from production lines to the correct inventory locations.
 Ensure proper labeling, controls and storage of inventory materials.

Qualifications:

1 year light manufacturing experience, preferred.
Prior experience using industrial vehicles: roll clamps and forklifts.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 55 pounds.
  • Getting on and off lift trucks, frequently.
  •  Moving pallets with hand or powered jack.
  •  Standing, walking and bending.
  •  Reaching and grabbing with hands.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Associates degree or equivalent, relevant experience preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience in a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment desirable
  • SolidWorks software knowledge required either via school or experience

Position Summary:
A Fabricator performs the technical responsibilities associated with the production of stainless steel parts. These tasks are performed with a variety of equipment and tooling that require the skills associated with the set-up and adjustment of said tools, in order to accurately produce parts in accordance with high quality standards. Success in the position requires an in-depth knowledge of the various tools and equipment along with attention to detail and the execution of tasks in a safe and efficient manner. It requires interest and creativity in problem solving how a specific job can be produced and in working with others to accomplish that same goal. Working as a team, handling the all the tools and materials in a safe, conscientious, and efficient manner to produce a high quality product is of utmost importance.

Requirements:
1) High school diploma or equivalent.
2) Two years prior experience in fabrication.
3) Coursework in fabrication from technical school training preferred.
4) In-depth knowledge of safety practices and rules associated with working in a fabrication shop.
5) Highly developed skill in reading and interpreting blueprints and/or technical drawings.
6) Mechanical skills used in the set-up, operation, and up-keep of equipment.
7) Ability to follow procedures in sequence to produce quality parts.
8) Application of math skills to successfully set up machinery.

Functions:
1) The operation of the following tools which may include, but not limited to:
a) Pneumatic and/or electric die grinders
b) Band saws
c) Belt and/or wheel sanders
d) Machining equipment such as a lathe, mill, or drill
e) Waterjet
f) Press brake
g) Metal shear
h) Blast cabinet
i) Parts washer
2) Perform routine, operator prescribed maintenance and adjustments on above mentioned equipment.
3) Read blueprints/technical drawings and accurately transfer measurements to raw materials as applicable to produce quality parts.
4) Remove sharp edges and burrs and prepare parts according to noted details on travelers.
5) Assist purchasing in monthly cycle count to keep inventory accurate.
6) Keep work area neat, clean, and organized.
7) Dispose of all scrap in proper containers.
8) Work with engineering and management on how jobs can be accomplished efficiently, safely, and in keeping with high standards. Provide input for solving problems on an on-going basis and as needed.
9) Understand shop scheduling system so parts are produced in order and on-time.

Fabrication Supervisor

Fabrication Supervisor

The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible to coordinate job orders through the fabrication department, based on dates due to weld production, to ensure on-time delivery to the customer. The Fabrication supervisor must work closely with the Plant Manager, Scheduler, Engineering, and the Production Supervisor.

Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid Driver’s license.
3. Experience and knowledge in all facets of production or minimum of five years experience.
4. Prior experience in supervisory role.
5. Good verbal and written communication skills.

Functions:

1. Communicate daily with Plant Manager to discuss the following issues:
a) “Hot Board” status.
b) Expedited jobs.
c) Late in-bound parts.
d) Rework.
e) Any other issues which affect quality or on-time shipment.
2. Assess job size and difficulty to provide appropriate time, personnel, and flow through the fabrication department to assure on-time delivery to down-stage processes.
3. Expedite all “hot jobs” and ensure that all personnel understand the urgency required. Utilize individuals, based on their ability to put in overtime in order to meet delivery dates. Check with Plant Manager about all overtime.
4. Arrange overtime requirements such that production personnel volunteers are utilized first, before others are assigned additional hours and only to accommodate due dates. Check with Plant Manager about all overtime.
5. Analyze jobs for potential cost savings by way of groupings, or personnel and/or machinery selection.
6. Insure maximum machine up-time by having consumable supplies on hand, and working with maintenance to insure preventive maintenance is performed by the appropriate personnel at the correct intervals.
7. Actively work with fabrication personnel to achieve an appropriate level of cross-training to insure machinery/process coverage in all events.

Administrative Functions:
1. Monitor current and future workloads to assess personnel needs. Communicate with Plant Management.
2. Attend all transfer meetings. Be prepared to discuss issues such as manufacturing hours, tolerances, machinery limitations, lead-times, customer specifications, fixturing, or any other special requirement not listed.
3. Attend all production meetings to communicate with Inside Sales, Engineering, and Production to discuss capacity and schedules.

Qualifications:

Min. of two years’ experience in fabrication. Coursework in fabrication from technical school training preferred. In-depth knowledge of safety practices and rules associated with working in a fabrication shop. High developed skill in reading and interpreting blueprints and/or technical drawings. Mechanical skills used in the operation and up-keep of equipment. Ability to follow procedures in sequence to produce quality parts. Application of math skills, to successfully set up machinery and produce quality parts.
