CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

As a Customer Sales Representative you will process orders, generate sale orders, purchase orders, work orders, production entries & bills of material for products in the Overhead Lifting & Rigging Fields such as Cranes – Hoists – Rigging (shackles, hooks, hammer locks) Web Slings, Chain, Wire Rope, & Fall Protection.  You will assist customers and a designated Territory Sales representative via email and phone, handle quotes, research product, expedite orders, arrange drop ships, as well as handle product returns and repairs along with data entry, maintaining a quote file, and interaction with vendors.  Tracking, investigating & researching customers (current and past orders) to resolve any discrepancies are also required.  As a member of the sales team you will participate in weekly sales meetings, speak with technicians, internal staff, and vendors, along with sourcing and calling manufacturers throughout the day.

• Must have experience in industrial or mechanical sales support where you are required to help the customer from beginning to end.  (Not call center experience.).
• Any related industry experience would be helpful – lifting equipment, hoists, slings, cranes
• BA degree is helpful
• Must have basic understanding of MSWD.
• Must have Excel skills of entering into already built spreadsheets.
• Must have Outlook experience.
• Any accounting software experience is helpful – MAS 90 / Sage 100
• Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm (1/2 hour lunch)
• Length: Temporary to Hire!

Detailed Job Duties

•  Receive and process supply orders while screening information for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitors orders while communicating key updates to applicable stakeholders.
• Works with material planners to ensure raw materials are available to meet demand.
• Expedite raw material orders as requested, resolve shortages, and follow through on late deliveries using contacts with supplier customer service, sales representatives and freight carriers.
• Create and maintain purchase orders.
• Monitors and directly orders specified raw materials based on min/max levels or other specified replenishment or stocking program.
• Initiate basic level of price quotes as requested.
• Facilitate dialog between manufacturing, inventory control, accounts payable and supplier to resolve basic inventory, delivery, and quality or price discrepancy issues.
• Prepare, maintain, and review procurement files, reports and price lists.
• Continually evaluates policies and procedures to determine new, improved and streamlined approaches to better serve business/customer needs.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

•  3+ year’s experience with sheet metal industry

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Leads improvement and ensures team safety within the department.

4.Reads and understands job jackets.
5.locates product and materials needed for each production order.

8.Sets Leary Systems with all glue lines.
9.Loads stock in machine throughout run.
10.Monitors job quality throughout run
11.Oversees Finishing Department helpers.
12.Records material usage and time
13.Perform routine preventative maintenance.
14.Replace belts, bearings and other minor parts.
15.Other duties as assigned.

HOURS:

3rd Shift – Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:00am with frequent opportunities for overtime. Saturday rotating schedule

3 years of Folder Gluer Experience preferred.
