  • Observes continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure that products meet specifications
  • Detect jams or malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.
  •  Sets up, operates, or tends metal or plastic molding, casting, or core making machines to mold or cast metal or thermoplastic parts or products.
  • Removes finished or cured products from dies or molds, using hand tools, air hoses and other equipment, stamp identifying information on products when necessary.
  • Trims excess material from parts, using knives, and grinds scrap plastic into powder for reuse.

Grinder – 1st Shift

GRINDER -All shifts available ($14.00 +/hour)

Duties and responsibilities:
Efficiently perform all tasks involved in the production of products, follow standard work methods, and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. WILLING TO TRAIN!

Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Use a grinding machine to grind castings
•Load and unload castings into bins.
•Operate hoist. (Will Train)
•Maintain a clean and safe work area and clean work area at the end of each shift
•Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Physical environment/working conditions:
Standing, walking, balancing, reaching.
Bending, crouching, climbing, standing, stooping, walking, lifting, & feeling for long periods of time throughout the day.
Requiring hand/eye coordination
Lifting 1-80 lbs. and carrying 1-80 lbs., Push/pull, handle up to 90 lbs.

•Hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, dressing tool

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Cutting, measuring and assembling material and hardware according to work order 
* Sewing Nylon Sling or assembly together to customer and/or product specifications 
* Inspecting, stenciling, and wrapping product 
* Documenting time and materials used in a timely and accurate manner 
* Occasional overtime as required to meet customer needs

Pattern Shop Operator

  • Read and interpret blueprints or drawings of parts to be cast or patterns to be made; then compute dimensions and plan operational sequences.
  • Select pattern materials such as wood, resin, and fiberglass.
  • Verify conformance of patterns or template dimensions to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, scales, and micrometers.
  • Set up and operate machine tools, such as milling machines, lathes, drill presses, and grinders, in order to machine castings or patterns.
  • Assemble pattern sections, using hand and power tools, bolts, screws, rivets, glue, and/or welding equipment.

Split shift 11:30am to 9:30pm–Monday – Thursday

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a hydraulic press for routine established work.
  • Select correct tooling for the job task with setup documents.
  • Load, install and correctly set up the tools required.
  • Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations
  • Maintain performance log books on assigned area equipment, report deficiencies to the maintenance team.
  • Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.
  • Install, align, and lock specified punches, dies or other fixtures in rams or beds of machine.
  • Set stops on machine beds, change dies, and adjust components, such as rams or power presses, when making multiple or successive passes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.
  • Demonstrated competency in basic shop math.
  • Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
  • Work in an efficient and timely manner

Manufacturing Expeditor

Manufacturing Expeditor – up to $20.00/hour

Responsible for expediting the flow of work and material within or between departments according to the production schedule. The Expediter will work with the planners and is a direct interface with the Manufacturing shop floor. The candidate will also be responsible for tracking the flow of critical parts through the shop floor in a timely fashion.

  • Update production schedule based on lists provided to ensure on-track shipment of customer orders
  • Obtain information regarding status of components required to fill orders and evaluate parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products within the guidelines as directed by production supervisors
  • Assist in the setup of production lists and mapping out production schedule for select orders/projects
  • Confer with production departments to become familiar with drawings, specifications, and other documents concerning assigned projects.
  • High school degree or equivalent, relevant experience preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment desirable but not required.
  • Blue print reading skills a plus
  • Interface with manufacturing personnel, purchasing personnel, etc. on material status and production planning issues
  • Ability and experience meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, quickly and accurately in an environment with changing/fluctuating priorities.
  • Must be very detail oriented and thorough with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Action-oriented, customer service-oriented attitude, taking initiative to follow projects and jobs through the production process.
  • Engaging personality capable of generating and growing meaningful relationships with coworkers.
