Machinist/Programmer

We are looking for an experienced Machinist to program and run a Doosan Horizontal Machining Center.  1st Shift – 7:00 am – 3:30 pm – $22.00 – $25.00 Depending on Experience.

The Horizontal Machinist will perform the following duties:

Program and machine short runs.
• Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, printed circuit board pattern films, and design data to calculate dimensions, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.
• Compare encoded tapes or computer printouts with original part specifications and blueprints to verify accuracy of instructions.
• Determine reference points, machine cutting paths, or hole locations, and compute angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures.
• Determine the sequence of machine operations, and select the proper cutting tools needed to machine work pieces into the desired shapes.
• Modify existing programs to enhance efficiency.
• Observe machines on trial runs or conduct computer simulations to ensure that programs and machinery will function properly and produce items that meet specifications.
• Revise programs or tapes to eliminate errors, and retest programs to check that problems have been solved.
• Write programs in the language of a machine’s controller and store programs on media such as punch tapes, magnetic tapes, or disks.
• Write instruction sheets and cutter lists for a machine’s controller to guide setup and encode numerical control tapes.

Prefer 3 – 5 years experience and should be familiar with fanuc controls.

Electro-Mechanical Technician

Electro-Mechanical Technician ($16.00 – $18.00+)

Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:

Assembling and wiring industrial control panels from schematics and bills of material. Mounting and wiring sensors and other devices on in-house manufactured equipment.

• Connect cables, tubes, and wiring, according to specifications.
• Disassemble units to replace parts or to crate them for shipping.
• Drill, tap, ream, countersink, and spot-face bolt holes in parts, using drill presses and portable power drills.
• Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units.
• Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools.
• Attach name plates and mark identifying information on parts.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer – ( $60,000 – $80,000/yr)

We are looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer to work with a growing company in the Fox Valley Area.

  • Work as a team player reviewing customer specifications, quotations with Sales, Project
    Managers, Controls Engineers, Manufacturing and Assembly.
  • Create Approval drawings.
  • Professional interaction with customers.
  • Gather vendor quotations and create bill of material for purchasing department.
  • Epicor ERP system knowledge is a plus.
  • Complete design review meetings and accept constructive design options
  •  Design Machinery, complete detail drawings in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Gather vendor quotations for long lead items.
  • Create documents (drawings and bills of material) for production (projects) that fulfill the requirements of customer orders.
  • Follow defined manufacturing and operation standards. Or help to create standards where none exist.
  • Maintain drawing files or reference information on network.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD required.
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks Workgroup PDM or SolidWorks Enterprise PDM
    preferred.
  • Working knowledge of standard Windows based software (Word & Excel).
  • Engineering concepts related to stress and deflection, metals and metallurgy, platings &
    coatings, rubber covers, balancing, power transmissions, heat-transfer, fluid dynamics,
    and web handling.
  • Knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes related to design practices.
  • Knowledge of machine safety standards, and their application.
  • Ability to evaluate cost /benefit relationships as they relate to design.
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is desired. Associates Degree is required. Experience in design and manufacturing processes (e.g., fabrication and machining) required. Experience with web handling preferred.

Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technicians – $27.00/hour

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform preventative maintenance procedures and related maintenance duties on a wide variety of equipment and infrastructure. Included on a variety of machines, process support equipment, interior and exterior of buildings and grounds. Conduct preventative maintenance procedures on both electrical and mechanical systems. Poses the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures. Maintain overall condition of company assets following the standards set forth and regulated by the company policy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.

  1. Participates in continuous improvement and effectively communicates opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness for this position.
  2. General Industrial maintenance to include, but not limited to lubricating, repairing, rebuilding, trouble shooting, and cleaning production machines. Other duties to consist of infrastructure maintenance and fabrication. This includes welding, cutting, grinding, carpenter work, and operating shop machines (lathes, mill, drill press, grinder, saw, and other small hand tools).
  3. Perform maintenance and repair to the lift trucks; roll grabs and dollies, steam generators, air compressors, and other process support equipment.
  4. Perform electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, HVAC, and concrete work.
  5. Accurately carry out and assist in the development of preventative maintenance procedures.
  6. Communicate with machine operators.
  7. Support and develop downtime reduction initiatives.
  8. Work overtime as required.

All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

The Maintenance Mechanic must hold a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. It is a requirement to possess, or obtain, an Associate’s Degree, Millwright or Journeyman card in a related field to remain in the department. Once hired, the Maintenance employee will have six years to obtain an Associate’s Degree, Millwright or Journeyman card if they do not possess one before being hired. Mechanic must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret documents such as mechanical and electrical drawings, maintenance procedures and manuals, company policies and safety rules. Mechanic must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills using various units of measure is required; this includes whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. The ability to compute rate, velocity, ratio, and percent, perform conversions, interpret and/or develop graphs and technical reports is also required. The mechanic must be able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Possession of the ability to deal with problems involving several variables in various situations and take appropriate action to resolve these problems is a must.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Candidates need to have an Electro-Mechanical background either through education or experience. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, display a positive attitude and have a strong work ethic.

Persons hired are required to work a M-F rotating shift assignment of:
3rd shift – 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
2nd shift – 2:00PM to 10:00 PM
1st shift – 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Overtime is also required which can include 12 hour shifts and weekends.

Warehouse Clerk

We have an immediate 1st shift Warehouse Clerk position (6:00 am – 2:00 pm) to help with all shipping and receiving duties within a manufacturing environment.

Duties:
1. Perform all shipping and receiving operations as listed by the Plant Manager.
2. Inspect and organize stored materials at end of month to ensure quick and accurate inventories can be taken.
3. Monitor the delivery schedule white board and prepare area to accommodate incoming materials before they arrive.
4. Complete daily pre-op inspections as required.
5. Monitor all equipment during shift for improper operation and either adjust if necessary or notify maintenance of needed repair.
6. Bring all necessary paperwork to office as completed throughout the shift each day.
7. Pull all customer orders and sample cases as requested by office personnel.
8. Shovel snow from the dock as needed or necessary.
9. Inspect and segregate unusable pallets, return as necessary.
10. Meet UPS at 3:00pm for daily pickup of shipping items.
11. Inspect all incoming and outgoing materials for defects. Fill out proper paperwork if defects are found and refuse shipment if necessary.
12. Run afternoon warehouse delivery to Progressive Warehouse.
13. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Inventory Control Coordinator

Inventory Control Coordinator – $16.00+/hour

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Inventory Control Coordinator – Full-Time; 1st Shift; Appleton, WI.

Position Objective:  To ensure operational needs of the organization are met by maintaining proper levels of inventory of usable items.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for ordering all ingredients, packaging materials, plant supplies, chemicals, etc.
  2. Responsible for keeping track of inventory levels and recording usage.
  3. To Conduct daily (as necessary), end-of-month, and year-end inventories in coordination with other individuals involved.
  4. Maintain credit applications for potential vendors.
  5. Maintain current knowledge of all OSHA regulations and coordinate with General Manager.

Duties:

Purchasing/Inventory Control:

  1. Order all ingredients, packaging materials, and miscellaneous items as needed.
  2. Contact different vendors/suppliers to source other/new products and pricing.
  3. Contact vendors for all required materials and fill out all appropriate paperwork.
  4. Maintain completed credit applications for potential vendors.
  5. Coordinate with other inventory control personnel to ensure items are organized properly and counts are done accurately on a monthly/yearly basis.
  6. Enter all new and edit all existing product, supplier, contractor, and material info according to changes made and update all pertinent info on all existing electronic and hard copies.
  7. Update costing and submit proposals of Cost sheets.
  8. Validate accuracy of cost sheets and provide new/updates as requested.

Miscellaneous:

  1. Attend all Department meetings.
  2. Fill in for customer service personal in office as needed.
  3. Complete any other task as assigned.

Special Skills needed:

  1. Outstanding people skills.
  2. Strong organizational skills.
  3. Creative approach to problem-solving.
  4. Solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  5. Quick learner with good ability to work alone and unsupervised.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

CNC Router Operator

CNC Router Operator – 2nd Shift ($12.00 – $15.00)

We are currently looking for a 2nd Shift CNC Router Operator for an immediate opening in the Fox Valley Area.

CNC Router operator performs the following duties (not inclusive):

• Set up Program*
• Transfer material using a vacuum assisted hoist to table**
• Insure material is secured to table**
• Begin operations**
• Remove plugs and other materials at conclusion of each run**
• Clean wood dust and debris from product and slide to an adjustable table****
• Clean table of dust and material and place next piece of material on table****

Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, the ability to lift, carry on a consistent basis 0 – 50#. There are times of stooping and bending, occasional kneeling and an average amount of walking during the performance of duties.

• Second Shift Monday – Thursday 430 PM – 4 AM
• Overtime- if other overtime is required we ask for volunteers and work occasionally past the normal week’s schedule
