Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician – $20.00 – $25.00+/hour

We are looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Technician to work with a leading Printer and Paper Converting Manufacturer in the Fox Valley/Oshkosh, WI area.

3rd Shift (10:00 pm to 6:00 am) with some weekend hours as needed. **will train on 1st – 6:00 am – 2:00 pm**

SUMMARY: Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, including pipe and electrical systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and assist in establishing and conforming to preventative maintenance programs.
  • Initiate and follow up on bidding process on construction and materials on an as needed basis.
  • Coordinate and monitor outside contractor activities on work performed in the plant.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Maintain physical structure of establishment and perform minor repairs.
  • Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, machine operating procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Two years related experience and/or training;
  • Combination of equivalent education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Good working knowledge of the mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems common in manufacturing, preferably printing and converting equipment, including forklifts, clamp trucks, packaging equipment. Knowledge of all tools utilized in equipment maintenance and repair. Basic computer knowledge.
  • Good math, mechanical and measuring skills. Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently; ability to read and follow detailed instructions, and think/react quickly to troubleshoot daily mechanical issues. Ability to work the required hours of the position including weekends.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to perform the following activities:

  • Lift and carry up to 50; occasionally lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Stand and walk for full shift and frequently reach with hands
  • Occasionally sit, climb, crawl, crouch, kneel and stoop
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Electro-Mechanical Assembly – Full-Time and Immediate Openings

Electro-Mechanical Assembly Personnel Needed. We are looking for energetic team members to join a growing manufacturing and machining team in Appleton, WI.

Primary Duties:

 

  • Perform electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic assembly work on projects, machines and systems
  • Assemble machinery including automation, systems and tooling
  • Install, starting up and servicing machinery and systems at customer locations
  • Work with Controls & programming vendors to provide documentation and instructions on equipment operations
  • Work with Controls & programming vendors to troubleshoot equipment in the field or during equipment builds

 

 

Your experience includes:

  • Technical degree/certificate or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years working as a machine builder and or assembler in a machine design and build environment and in the field installing, starting up and servicing machinery and systems with increasing degree of responsibility
  • Machinery and Automation Experience
  • Controls software use to connect and troubleshoot equipment and controls logic
  • Electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems
  • Customer service experience dealing directly with the customer to troubleshoot and solve issues
  • The ability to be self-motivated, work independently in a team environment and proactively align personal efforts with team objectives
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Analytical, organizational, communication, follow up and people skills
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task while working under tight deadlines
  • Strong Microsoft Office/software skills

Fabrication Supervisor – 2nd Shift

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Fabrication Supervisor to work 2nd Shift – Mon. – Thur. 4:45 pm – 2:45 am for a manufacturing company in Oshkosh, WI. The primary responsibilities will be to supervise and coordinate activities of the workers engaged in fabrication and assembly of sheet metal products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enforces safe work practice and safety regulations
  • Oversees the production schedule and works with team to see that the schedule is managed and followed
  • Root cause analysis on part and/or machine issues
  • Responsible for resolving operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
  • Inspect work in progress and finished products
  • Audits processes to ensure ISO compliance
  • Develop standard procedures
  • Works with team to set short term and long term goals
  • Sets and monitors expectations for team members
  • Enforces company policies
  • Creates and issue performance reviews
  • Monitor employee training and mentoring
  • Addressing employee concerns and/or grievances
  • Communicates and coordinates with team leads and other supervisors regarding production schedules and shop issues

We are looking for a 2nd shift, Full-Time Laser Operator to work with a metal fabricating company in the Fox Valley Area.

Job Type: Full-Time; 2nd Shift; Mon. – Thur. (3:00 pm – 1:00 am)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understand and execute to a set of specified instructions (sequenced based control, work instructions, drawings, move tags, etc.)
• Execute proper start-up and shut-down of machine
• Load, set-up, and run laser to planned arrangements
• Evaluate, correct, and take actions necessary to prevent external quality (size & defects) issues
• Select (grinders, abrasives, etc.) and utilize a variety of metal finishing tools to meet specified surface requirements
• Utilize a variety of material lifting devices (cranes, positioners, magnets, hooks, etc.)
• Utilize a variety of material control devices (fixtures, templates, etc.)
• Work responsibly and safely at all times.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Related experience and/or training preferred
• Experience with Lasers, Programming, Etc.

**1 year Laser Operator Experience Preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
