EQUIPMENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN – Willing to Train

EQUIPMENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN

If you are looking for a GREAT Opportunity than this is it!! We are looking for a motivated individual to learn and grow. The Equipment Service Technician will help serve customers by using mechanical, welding and fabrication skills to repair, install and service various agricultural equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Detect/diagnose routine malfunctions of equipment and systems and take corrective action

Responsible for welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions

  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and record
  • Ability to read blue prints, sheet metal layouts, hydraulics and knowledge of equipment fabrication
  • Displays knowledge of process piping and pumping systems
  • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential
  • Responsible for adherence to all safety practices
  • Work under the direction of the Lead Service Technician or Service Manager
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • A strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Understanding of basic hand tools and construction equipment
  • Basic silo unloader knowledge a plus, but not required
  • Must be able to read and interpret shop drawings
  • Understanding of basic equipment maintenance
  • Willingness to work in agricultural environment
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 50lbs.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Motivation and willingness to learn new skills
  • Motivation and willingness to learn new products
  • Customer service focused

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • Valid Drivers License with good driving record – Preferred but not necessary
  • Knowledge with the service and installation process
  • Basic welding is helpful, but not required

  • Full time, 40 Plus Overtime

Our Fox Valley Client is in need of an experienced Industrial Paint Person to work as an Industrial Paint Shop Supervisor. This is a 1st shift (6:00 am – 4:30 pm), Immediate opening,  and could be a Direct Hire for the Right Candidate.

This position will be responsible for the supervision of approximate 20 employees, will help allocate resources, delegate and monitor work, help ensure quality products and performance management of the Shop Employees.

Job Duties
• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment:
•Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
•Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
•Determines space requirements and position of shipment in boxcars and trucks and lays out position of shipment.
•Determines routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits of states.
•Maintains vehicle maintenance reports.
•Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.

Qualifications/Experience
• 5+ years’ experience in a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment, 4+ year’s experience with shipping/logistics – preferred
•Strong knowledge of transportation industry.
•Ability and experience setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
•Proven track record for team leadership.
•Ability to work independently, quickly and accurately in an environment with changing/fluctuating priorities.
•Must be very detail oriented and thorough with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Raise, place, and unite iron or steel girders, columns, and other structural members to form completed structures or structural frameworks. May erect metal storage tanks and assemble prefabricated metal buildings.

• Bolt aligned structural steel members in position for permanent riveting, bolting, or welding into place.
• Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts, following blueprints and instructions from supervisors.

Body Shop Technician

Body Shop Technician ($15.00 – $28.00/hour – based on experience)

If you have body shop experience, looking for a change and loves new challenges – not a boring repetitive job – Then we want to talk to you!   Not a  dealership atmosphere. We have an opening for a ambitious individual who can work without constant supervision. 1st Shift with room for growth with a Fox Valley truck and equipment refurbishing shop. The primary duties will be to take used heavy, medium and some light duty trucks and make them sellable.

Fiberglass, metal and aluminum repairs are some of the many things that will be handled. Full body and paint work , as well as detailing, frame work, body removals and installs just to name a few. The main customer base consists of the heavy duty truck dealers in the Fox Valley.

This position will be primarily be for body repair, paint prep, masking and then painting . Welding and mechanical skills and own tools a big plus but not necessary. We are always advancing and want our employees to do the same.

Always new challenges means this is not a boring repetitive job. We all work as a team here to get the jobs handled, whatever it may be.  We are willing to train the right candidate. The only thing we can’t teach you is ambition.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 to $28.00 /hour

General Responsibilities
• Install, maintain and repair machinery, physical structures and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines
• Visually inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards and locate or prevent causes of malfunctions
• Report accurate quantities, material used and time in MD Link
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect, malfunction and discuss operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem and repair machine
• Initiate purchase order for repair parts
• Confer with management, engineering and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery to prevent malfunction
• Install, repair and program electrical apparatus and equipment
• Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment
• Set up and operate machining tools such as grinder or drill to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools
• Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
• Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions and other wood structures
• Realign and adjust components as needed
• Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems
• Start machines and equipment to test operation after repair
• Lock out machines and equipment in compliance with Lock Out/Tag Out regulations
• Perform required inspections
• Read and interpret blueprints to comply with engineering standards
• Must be available to emergency call ins and extended overtime hours as required

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training
• Certification in forklift operation. The company will train, following hire, if necessary
Skills and Abilities
• Read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively in front of employees and organizational group
• Apply skills to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form• Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Calculate figures and amounts such as rate, ratio and percent

Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Employee must be able to regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Use hands to feel, finger or handle all types of materials
