Field Service Technician

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN ($18.00 – $28.00 + depending on experience)

We are looking for a Field Service Representative to join a GREAT Technical Services Team, traveling extensively providing services, repairs, preventative maintenance of industrial and graphic arts dryers and related equipment. This position will require traveling to customer locations throughout the US. The typical duration of travel for a service technician is between 3 and 10 days. With an overall travel percentage of 70%.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on industrial/ graphic arts dryers and related equipment.
  • Provide customer training.
  • Provide technical phone support for industrial and graphic dryers.
  • Promote and sell spare parts kits for existing equipment and upgrades.
  • Identify opportunities to sell additional service.
  • Promote a safe working environment on customer equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work with and understand electricity, pneumatics, electronics, mechanics, airflows, gas flow, as well as a proven mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, understanding of HMI’s and VFD drives, as well as industrial electro-mechanical experience
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and customer relations skills
  • Ability to be a team player and work well under pressure
  • Willing to travel up to 70% (up to 2 weeks out prior to returning home) must be able to board an airplane, rent a car and stay in hotels.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Associates Degree in Electro-mechanical Technology or related field
  • 2-4 years servicing related industrial equipment

Shop Supervisor – 1st Shift

SHOP SUPERVISOR – 1ST SHIFT (6:30 am – 4:00 pm)

We are currently looking for a 1st shift Shop Supervisor to help with supervision of staff, ensuring quality products and workflow, and gauges productivity, supervising for efficiency. This position could be Temp to Perm or DIRECT HIRE (depends on the candidate and the employer will decide which hiring option fits best)

Primary Responsibilities:

Supervision – Oversee and Lead shop and staff of approximately 20 employees. Must maintain constant contact with staff to assure top-notch quality and optimal productivity. Must delegate workload for efficiently.
Communication with floor staff in regards to efficiency of jobs being completed, safety of jobs being completed, write- ups with employees for all reasons such as rework, safety or attendance ect, Annual Reviews, 90 Day Reviews will be drawn up by 1st shift supervisor

Floor & Production Needs- Assist Shipping and Receiving Department with paperwork, knowledge of weight of product, knowledge of packing slip procedures, circulation of clipboards and proper paperwork on jobs being processed, time schedules of due dates for jobs, coordination of transportation of jobs. Assist Safety Manager that employees are trained in OH Crane, Forklifts, Spotter Trucks ect.
Teaches Material Handlers proper ways to make Wood Crates for projects- How to package material either in crates, on pallets or loaded onto trailers.

Communication- Must have good communication skills, supervisor converses via phone, text and email with in house staff, customers and vendors. Must always remain respectful and professional.
Maybe contacted by other shifts with questions regarding projects and must be willing to address calls, emails or text even if off hours.

Quality- All aspects of Quality Control Position must be understood and double checked by the Supervisor. All processes must be addressed.

Reporting – At shift-end, must leave thorough notes for 2nd shift supervisor instructing what jobs are due and importance of job order process: Lack or Gain of shift accomplishments, problems and safety issues. Should also report human relation-type issues including staff conduct and performance, absences and/or staff who leave early.

Meetings – Attend production meetings with Managers at 9 a.m. daily and 2:30 with 2nd Shift Supervisor to report needs of shift. Meetings are also to assure Quality is being held to a top standard.

Time Cards – Check time cards for accuracy and tally daily. Submit to Payroll Clerk for processing.

Safety – Must understand procedures for shop-related accidents, alarms, electrical outages and weather-related emergencies.

Policies & Procedures – Must have basic understanding of the employee handbook and know general protocol for answering staff questions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a supervisory capacity a requirement.
• MUST HAVE general understanding of paint production.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Leadership Skills are required.
• Spanish-speaking abilities are an advantage.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel toe boots must be worn at all times except in the administrative offices.
• Must have physical, along with hearing and respiratory tests performed annually.

MUST HAVE INDUSTRIAL WET PAINT/PAINTING EXPERIENCE

Weekend Metal Fabricator Supervisor (Work 35 & Paid 40 hours)

We are looking for a Weekend Metal Fabricator Supervisor to join an innovative team with a track-record for providing quality products. This is an immediate Opening – Direct Hire opportunity in the Fox Valley, Appleton, WI Area.

Wage is based on experience level up to $24 per hour starting pay + company/individual performance bonuses + Overtime.

Hours Fri/Sat: 6:00 am – 6:30 pm Sunday 6:00 am – 5:30 pm. Work 35 hours but paid for 40.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  •  3+ years’ experience in a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment, most importantly press brakes and lasers.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with AutoPOL or off-line press brake software a substantial plus
  • Ability and experience setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Proven track record for team leadership.
  • Ability to work independently, quickly and accurately in an environment with changing/fluctuating priorities.
  • Must be very detail oriented and thorough with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong history of working with customers, understanding their needs and processes in order to provide solutions in a consultative manner.

Detailed Job Duties

  •  Supervises and coordinates activities of up to 15 fabricators with more expected in near future.
  • Use manufacturing knowledge and judgment to ensure quality requirements are met in the most efficient manner possible. Example, not assigning a job requiring a tight tolerance to a machine/work center that can’t hold such a tolerance, trying to hold a tighter tolerance than necessary and utilizing off-line programs available. This includes following company procedure on first piece inspections and in process inspections per ISO guidelines.
  • Knowledge of using calipers, squares, protractors and etc. to do first piece inspections.
  • Attract, retain and motivate an exceptional team.
  • Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications.
  • Be able to operate hoists and fork lift trucks.
  • Have mechanical ability to troubleshoot basic to moderate press brake equipment issues.
  • Have a thorough understanding of engineering blueprints (including standard tolerances, theoretical intersections, etc.).
  • Coordinate the flow of parts through fabrication to minimize time in fabrication and maximize part availability to downstream operations.
  • Provide training and supervises new employees (as needed) including set-up, machine operation, best practices, and safety.
  • Provide Director of Operations with a daily report on production status including work completed, orders ready to ship, and work in progress.
  • Ensure that supplies/tools are not wasted/misused.
  • Ensure work centers are cleaned daily (last 10-15 minutes)
  • Interface with 1st shift Supervisor to minimize work stoppage during changeover.
  • Ensures general maintenance on equipment at appropriate schedules per the maintenance sheets.
  • Assist when required, in locating and rushing jobs that are due to customers.

SHIPPING AND RECEIVING CLERK – Appleton

SHIPPING AND RECEIVING CLERK – 1ST SHIFT ($14.00 – $16.00/HR)

We are looking for an experienced individual to handle all shipping and receiving duties within a manufacturing environment. This is a first shift position with a growing company in the Fox Cities.

Duties:

  1. Perform all shipping and receiving operations as listed by the Plant Manager.
  2. Inspect and organize stored materials at end of month to ensure quick and accurate inventories can be taken.
  3. Monitor the delivery schedule white board and prepare area to accommodate incoming materials before they arrive.
  4. Complete daily inspections as required.
  5. Monitor all equipment during shift for improper operation and either adjust if necessary or notify maintenance of needed repair.
  6. Bring all necessary paperwork to office as completed throughout the shift each day.
  7. Pull all customer orders and sample cases as requested by office personnel.
  8. Inspect and segregate unusable pallets, return as necessary.
  9. Meet UPS at 3:00pm for daily pickup of shipping items.
  10. Inspect all incoming and outgoing materials for defects.  Fill out proper paperwork if defects are found and refuse shipment if necessary.

Should have general knowledge of all general inventory and warehousing equipment and operations
